Collector's Note: Separated at Birth

My favorite thing about traveling to major mineral shows is that I never know what I might see, hear, or learn. I particularly like to peruse the exhibits of museum and private collections. This year at the Tucson Show I got a particular shock. I hadn't had a chance to look closely at most of the exhibits yet, but as I was walking past a block of exhibits on my way to meet someone, I caught a glimpse of something out of the corner of my eye that didn't initially make sense to me.

Dr. Christopher J. Stefano is the associate curator at the A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum. His most recent article for Rocks & Minerals was titled “The Life and Collection of Eberhardt W. Heinrich” and appeared in the March/April 2015 issue (pages 154–163).
