Ludi von Bezing (b. 1945): South African Artist

Karl-Ludwig “Ludi” von Bezing has always been interested in creating art, but his professional life allowed little time for it. Since the completion of his book Namibia: Minerals and Localities (2007, Bode Verlag) and retirement, he has been able to return to painting, concentrating on portraying minerals and landscapes. His present focus is on minerals and their localities. Von Bezing explains, “Landscape painting has always been a love of mine, done mostly in watercolor or pencil sketches, which are quick with rapid results.”

Susan Robinson is a freelance artist specializing in painting mineral and gem specimens as well as birds and wildlife.
