Delaware Mineral Artist Edward Bayley (b. 1987)

My introduction to Edward Bayley's work was on the Jordi Fabre website forum on mineral illustration (www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewforum.php?f=27). Although Bayley considers his paintings a hobby, he shows ample competence and skill in his art. With a BA in biological sciences from the University of Delaware, Bayley is now in his second year of working toward a doctor of dental medicine degree at the University of Pennsylvania. Although his art has not been exhibited at shows or galleries, Bayley's work was featured on the October/November/December 2008 cover of the journal Cell Adhesion & Migration, a feat few artists achieve in their careers.

Susan Robinson is a freelance artist specializing in painting mineral and gem specimens as well as birds and wildlife.
